Two years ago, world leaders were given a huge global mandate to Make Poverty History: to increase aid, cancel many countries’ debts, and to ensure Universal Access to HIV Treatment by 2010.
But they haven’t done nearly enough. More than five million people living with HIV and AIDS still do not have access to life-saving medicines. As the clock ticks, peoples’ lives are lost.
On 2nd June, campaigners will join a mass rally in London to give Tony Blair a good send-off. Activities will be taking place across London from 11am, congregating at 2pm on the banks of the Thames for a send off. More info about the day’s events will be available at www.yourvoiceagainstpoverty.org.uk
Join Stop AIDS Campaign supporters at the rally, by meeting us at 1.15pm at the Stop AIDS Campaign stall Archbishops Park (near Lambeth North, Waterloo and Elephant and Castle underground stations). If you want to get there early many of the Stop AIDS Campaign Member Organisations ncluding SPW will be in Archbishops Park from 11am running workshops and different activities. Come, come, come…
Click here for a map of the location. It’s marked as Lambeth Palace Gardens.
