The night of Saturday June 2nd marks an International Night of Solidarity.

Since 2004, people in Germany have observed a “Night of Solidarity” on June 2nd. The purpose is to mobilise people and organisations to come together to raise awareness about AIDS and to put pressure on the G8 to act.

With the G8 being held in Germany this year, campaigners from around the world are invited to join an international display of solidarity in the face of the pandemic.

There will be a small vigil in London on the night of June 2nd (details to follow), but it is also important to mark this event with actions across the country. If you are not able to make it up to London for June 2nd and would like to participate in this night of international solidarity please visit the World AIDS Campaign website to download an information pack. The pack contains useful information and advice to help you to organise your own ‘Night of Solidarity’:
