On World AIDS Day: A stall was held in the Union raising awareness of the campaign and collecting signatures for action cards and a giant ribbon which will be sent to Peter Hain MP. The evening event was organised in co-operation with the Tearfund group to raise awareness about mother to baby transmission of the HIV/AIDS virus and treatment for this. 100 action cards were signed.

During the week the group held fundraising events in partnership with other university societies including RAG. On Tuesday night Karl Kennedy (from Neighbours) signed the giant red ribbon – this appeared in the Irish News the following day – following a gig his band played at the Union. An event was held at a local night club on the Thursday night promoting both World AIDS Day and the campaign.
