On World AIDS Day: Birmingham Stop AIDS Society worked with the students union to create a World AIDS Day Carnival.  They had a red double-decker bus outside the union building where they handed out action cards, condoms and red ribbons to students passing by.  In the afternoon the bus toured round the halls of residence giving out sexual health information and advice as well as action cards and information on the campaign. Inside the main University building they held a stall publicising the campaign and getting people to sign action cards.

In the evening a discussion forum was held with guest speakers from Christian Aid, Islamic Relief and Terrance Higgins Trust. Following this was a candle lit vigil which included poetry and reflections.
