Cambridge’s World AIDS Day - Campaigning Report

On World AIDS Day: The Cambridge Stop AIDS Society held a stall in the centre of Cambridge selling ribbons and encouraging people to sign action cards and petitions. During the day a delegation from the group met with David Howarth MPHe committed to writing to Hilary Benn, Tony Blair and Gordon Brown about the campaign and also said he would talk to, the party’s Shadow International Development Secretary, Susan Kramer MP about the possibility of asking a parliamentary question. The society is following up on this meeting by writing to remind him of the commitments he made during their meeting. 682 signed action cards have now been sent to David Howarth MP.
