World AIDS Day was given maximum coverage at the University of Southampton. The Stop AIDS Society had an article prominently on the front cover of the student paper ‘The Wessex Scene’. The group held a stall on the main concourse of the campus every day during the week leading up to 1st December during which 700 action cards were signed and tickets were sold for the balloon race. The stall also featured a giant eyeball on the back of which they wrote the 3 demands of the action card and on the front they got hundreds of students to sign their names.
