On World AIDS Day: Barts’ Stop AIDS Societies held a cake bake sale from which they raised £200. Throughout the day there was a stall raising the profile of the campaign, giving out condoms and recruiting new members. A sold out salsa night was held in the evening.

The week following World AIDS Day was dubbed SHAG (Sex, Health And Guidance) Week with stalls held in the Union everyday. On Monday a talk was organised in the Royal London Hospital and on Tuesday a multi-faith spiritual evening was held in the Hospital’s chapel. In partnership with the Athletic Union, the Stop AIDS Society organised ‘Condom Olympics’ for Wednesday evening as a way of promoting the campaign. On Thursday a ‘sexy’ pub quiz was held and Friday night saw the week finish with a comedy night.
